(Genesis 13:14-17 NIV)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

14\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>The\u00a0Lord\u00a0said to Abram after Lot had\u00a0parted<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0from him, \u201cLook around<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0from where you\u00a0are<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0(starting where you are standing<\/strong>), to the north and south, the east and west.\u00a015\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>All the land that you\u00a0see<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0(you see before you have it<\/strong>), I will give to you and your offspring\u00a0forever.\u00a016\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted.\u00a017\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land (have the feeling for the land so you cannot be distracted<\/strong>),\u00a0for I am giving it to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

In aviation school, we watched videos of aircraft in trouble in the air and the pilot calling midday. I remember asking a very serious question, \u201cWhat should a pilot do in situations like these?\u201d My professor answered in three words, \u201cFly the plane.\u201d I thought he did not understand my question, so, I asked again, what should I do if the aircraft is falling apart in mid-air? I asked, and he repeated the same answer, \u201cFly\u201d the plane. This time in a passionate yet direct. He added that a pilot is the last to leave a burning plane. A pilot should never jump from a plane in mid-air.<\/p>\n

Your life is a plane, and you are the pilot; you should never abandon your aircraft, even if the wine is falling apart. Fly the plane, even if there is no food, fly the aircraft even if he or she refuses to speak to you. Bishop Jacks once said, \u201cnothing is more frightening than a frightening leader.<\/p>\n

When the aircraft gets in a storm at 4000ft, I will be relaying if the captain speaks in a normal tone. \u201cThis is your captain speaking; we are in a little storm but will soon be out.\u201d But this is you captain speaking; we are in a terrible storm; everyone speaks to your God because I do not think we can make it out. Half of the passengers will be dead before the plane even break apart.<\/p>\n

Focus is to pay particular attention to, while distraction is a thing that\u00a0prevents<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0someone from giving full attention to something else. It is the process of\u00a0diverting the attention<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0of an individual or group from a desired area of focus.<\/p>\n

You were created to stay on Focus. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Focus is the greatest antidote against failure. \u201cFocus \u201cmakes you get up from bed and go on your way. Any student who takes their eyes off the graduation gown will drop off from school. Without focus, the Lord Jesus could not make it to the cross. In Matthew 4:1-11, Jesus was tempted by the devil to be distracted once. But the scribes and Pharisees tempted Him about seventy-seven times. He was tempted to be distracted by the devil once and many times by his own people. The problem of His people was serious: John\u2019s gospel quoted Jesus as saying that the prophet is not honored in his own home (St. John 4:44). Focus people always leave a mark; therefore, they are most often remembered.<\/p>\n

To make it to the next level, you must beat Distraction because it is mankind\u2019s Worst Enemy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Distraction comes in many forms; for example,<\/p>\n

Internal Distractions<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

(a), it comes in the form of fear of failure. You do not study because you are afraid to fail the test but because you want to learn. If you are not careful, distractions start from the study room to the testing hall. (b), I am not doing it because people will not support me; you have not even tried. (c), she or he can not marry me because I am too fat, I am not to his standard, and I am not qualified for the position. You fail yourself even before the interview.<\/p>\n

External Distractions<\/strong><\/p>\n

(a), be careful with you and all; you cannot make it because I tried it before.<\/p>\n

Many people could not become medical doctors because they sought the wrong counsel. They talk to the wrong person; sometimes, people you tell your dream to happen to be the beginning of your problem. Maybe if Joseph had kept his mouth closed, he could have entered Egypt, but not from the pit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
